This page provides a comprehensive overview of our transfer admissions process, credit transfer policies, and helpful resources to guide you through each step.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for transfer admission to SPBUNI, you must meet the following general requirements:

  • Be currently enrolled in a recognized institution of higher education.
  • Be in good academic standing at your current institution, with a minimum GPA. (Specific GPA requirements may vary depending on your program of interest. Please refer to the program information section for details.)
  • Have completed the equivalent of at least minimum credit requirement, credit hours of coursework relevant to your desired program at SPBUNI.

Application Process:

  1. Review Application Deadlines: Transfer application deadlines vary depending on the program and term you are applying for. Be sure to check the specific deadlines for your desired program on the SPBUNI website.
  2. Prepare Application Materials:
  • Completed Online Application Form: Submit the online application form through the SPBUNI admissions portal.
  • Official Transcripts: Request official transcripts from all institutions you have previously attended to be sent directly to SPBUNI.
  • Course Descriptions: Provide official course descriptions from your previous institutions for courses you wish to be considered for transfer credit.
  • Standardized Test Scores (if required): Some programs may require standardized test scores (e.g., GMAT, GRE) as part of the application process. Please refer to the program information section for specific requirements.
  • Letter of Recommendation (optional): A letter of recommendation from a professor or academic advisor at your current institution can strengthen your application.
  1. Submit Your Application: Once you have completed all required application materials, submit your application electronically through the admissions portal by the designated deadline.
  2. Application Review: The SPBUNI admissions committee will review your application materials to assess your eligibility and qualifications for admission.
  3. Transfer Credit Evaluation: The Office of the Registrar will evaluate your transcripts and course descriptions to determine which courses can be transferred for credit towards your degree at SPBUNI. You will be notified of the credit transfer decision after your admission.

Evaluation and Announcement:

  1. Wait for the results to be announced.
  2. Applicants who successfully pass the competitive selection will be recommended for the Russian Government Scholarship or the fee-paying (contractual) basis, depending on their eligibility

Visa Process (for International Students):

  1. If you require a student visa, fill in an Application Form for Visa Invitation and submit it to your Personal Account.
